There's lots of things you can do to help improve the quality of life for bats. Here are a few ways to get started:
If you love bats but cannot help us by caring for one, this is the next best thing! Adopt an orphaned baby bat or our Ambassador "Gilbert".
Bat Conservation and Rescue helps to educate the community to the importance of flying-foxes in our natural environment – they are the natural healers of our native forests. Without seeing them up close, people do not see the intelligence and beauty of bats. But with an approximate cost of $780.00 per year to feed and care for an education bat, we desperately need funding to continue this vital program.
Recruitment of new volunteers is essential so that we can achieve our aims while further assisting in the conservation of bats as keystone species within our fragile environment.

We very much appreciate support from businesses, government and the community. Donations can be in the form of money or resources.
WHY SUPPORT BCR?
Bat Conservation & Rescue QLD Inc. is an entirely voluntary, not-for-profit community organisation. Our members contribute their time and a considerable amount of their own resources to the cause, and we also run a number of fundraising activities to support our operations.
